What you might be about to find out

Most people who book a blood test have been putting it off for months — wondering if something is off, but never quite finding out. Here's what our patients commonly discover.

Why you're exhausted no matter how much you sleep
Often explained by iron deficiency, low B12, thyroid or vitamin D — all checked in a single draw
Why you feel mentally flat even when life is good
Low mood and brain fog are commonly linked to hormone imbalance, inflammation or thyroid dysfunction
Why diet and exercise aren't moving the needle
Thyroid dysfunction, cortisol imbalance or insulin resistance can silently stall progress
Why you wake up tired even after a full night's sleep
Disrupted cortisol patterns, low magnesium and thyroid issues are frequent but overlooked culprits
Why your drive and energy have quietly disappeared
Testosterone, oestrogen and prolactin changes often go undetected for years without a test
Whether your heart health risk is already building silently
High cholesterol, elevated HbA1c and inflammation markers rarely cause symptoms — until they do
What your GP wouldn't test — but probably should have
No referral needed. Test vitamins, hormones, thyroid antibodies and more — on your terms
Confirmation that everything is actually fine
Sometimes the answer is good news. Knowing that is worth just as much

Common questions
Everything you need to know
No. You book directly online, come in for your appointment, and receive your results — no GP involvement needed. Our doctor's report will tell you clearly if anything in your results warrants a conversation with your own GP.
For most tests, no. If you have a history of high cholesterol or want the most accurate baseline, an 8-hour fast is helpful — overnight works perfectly, just skip breakfast. For women, testing at a specific point in your cycle can improve certain hormone markers, but it's not essential as our reference ranges cover all cycle stages.
Every result is reviewed by one of our doctors, who adds plain-English comments to each marker. You don't need any clinical knowledge to understand your results. You'll know what each number means, whether it's within a healthy range, and what to do with the information.
Results are typically ready within 1–2 days. Most patients receive them the following evening. The Advanced panel includes more complex markers, so 2 days is occasionally more realistic — but it's rarely longer than that.
Many patients test annually to track their health over time. Others — particularly those monitoring hormones, vitamins, or specific markers — come every 4–6 months. There's no single right answer. The real value of regular testing is spotting trends, not just a single snapshot.
Our doctor's comments will tell you clearly if anything needs attention — and what level of attention. Some results that fall slightly outside the reference range are not clinically significant. Others may warrant a conversation with your GP. We'll tell you which is which, in plain English, in your report.
Not at all. Our phlebotomist is highly experienced and regularly sees patients who have had difficult experiences elsewhere. The vast majority of patients who come in nervous or expecting difficulty find the draw much easier than they anticipated. You're in good hands.
